Man in hospital with serious injuries after stabbing in residential Aspley street

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing in Aspley.

Police were called to Wareham Close just after 9.45pm on Monday, March 22, after a 30 year old was attacked while walking along the street.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are said to be serious but not life threatening.

Three men are thought to have been involved in the attack and police are scouring CCTV footage and speaking to residents in the area as their investigation continues.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Our investigation into this incident continues and we would urge anyone who witnessed this or has any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"A man has been left hospitalised with really significant injuries and we are very keen to get any information which could help us understand the circumstances of what happened.

“We are absolutely dedicated to tackling and investigating weapon-related crime which we tackle robustly through enforcement, as well as proactive patrols and engagement with the public.

"Information from the community can continue to help us act to make neighbourhoods safer and we will act on people’s concerns.

"We would urge anyone with information to get in touch on 101, quoting incident 924 of 22 March 2021."
