A man was left with serious facial injuries following an assault in Clevedon town centre.
The incident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Sunday outside Pizza Magic in Old Church Road.
Police were called to the scene by paramedics.
The victim suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and released under investigation.
A police spokesman said: “We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have information to help our enquiries.”
