Man in hospital with head injuries after fight in Totterdown

A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a fight broke out in Totterdown this afternoon.

A stretch of St Luke's Road, opposite Windsor Terrace, has been taped off by police and is currently closed to vehicles and pedestrians.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after 1pm this afternoon (Monday, May 31) following reports of a fight involving four men.

Some officers are still at the scene and are looking to locate the three other men involved.

A statement from Avon and Somerset Police reads: "At 1.07pm we received a report four men appeared to be fighting each other on St Luke’s Road.

"Officers arrived within five minutes to find a man with head injuries.

"The man has since been taken to hospital by ambulance.

"Enquiries into the incident and efforts to locate the others involved are ongoing."

The extent of the injuries are not yet known.
