Man in hospital after jumping from bridge near Kelty

A man is in hospital after jumping from a bridge on the M90 near Kelty.

Police attended the scene near Kelty this afternoon as the road was closed on the southbound side.

He survived and was taken to hospital in Dundee for treatment.

The road was reopened after a delay of over half-an-hour.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "About 1.20pm on Sunday 23 June, police attended at Junction 4 M90 near to Kelty reports of a person having fallen from a bridge there.

"A male has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

"The incident is being treated as an attempted suicide."
