A man has been taken to hospital following an incident in Cowdenbeath on Boxing Day.
Officers from Police Scotland were called to Craigbeath Court in the Fife town at around 7pm last night after reports of concern for a person.
The incident was resolved at 11.50pm after a nearly five-hour police operation in the residential area.
A heavy cops presence was on the scene late into the evening as they attempted to bring the contained incident to a conclusion.
Following the disturbance a man was taken to hospital, it is not known the extent of his injuries.
A Cowdenbeath Police statement read: "The incident has been resolved around 11.50pm .
"A man has been taken to hospital."
