A man is due in court to face multiple explosive and weapons possession charges, and a charge of impersonating a police officer, after two sieges in Brisbane.
The 42-year-old was charged after being treated in hospital following his arrest at Coorparoo on Wednesday evening.
Police were initially called to a home on Hamley St, Wooloowin, after someone visiting the property found explosives about 1.30pm on Tuesday.
The bomb squad searched the home before police declared a public safety preservation act and roped off the surrounding streets.
Investigators tracked the man to a car in Coorparoo where they declared a second public safety preservation act around the vehicle.
Negotiators spoke to the man and officers were able to arrest him without incident before he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Bomb squad officers safely detonated the explosive materials found in the Wooloowin home on Tuesday.
Officers who seized the man's car found items and documents "falsely attributed to various government agencies" as well as two knives and replica weapons.
He's been charged with manufacturing an explosive without authority, possessing explosives without authority, unlawfully possessing weapons, possessing a knife in a public place, assault, carrying an exposed weapon in a public place, impersonating a police officer, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing or acquiring restricted items.
He's due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.
