Man in hospital after being stabbed in the back in Nottingham

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the back in the early hours of the morning in Nottingham.

Police were called to Woodborough Road, St Ann's, at around 4.30am on Tuesday, March 10, after a man was reported to have been stabbed in the back during a "disturbance" between a group of men.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but police say his injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

No arrests have been made.

Detectives are now appealing for information and witnesses

Detective Constable Matt Butler, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim is incredibly lucky to have not sustained a serious injury in this incident.

“Nottinghamshire Police is committed to tackling knife crime and will investigate all reports thoroughly.

“I’d like reassure the public that we are working incredibly hard to establish what happened and we have stepped up patrols in the area to address any concerns the public have.

“We are now asking for anyone who may have seen this incident, have dashcam footage or any information that could aid us in our investigation, to get in touch as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident number 77 of 10 March 2020.”
