Man in hospital after being shot in leg in Co Down

Police are appealing for help after a man was shot in the leg in Bangor.

Officers in Ards and North Down say a man in his 30s was shot in his lower right leg in Balligan Gardens at 9.10pm on Monday.

They have not revealed the extent of his injuries - although they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The man was taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone with information or who may be able to help with the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 2156 of 05/07/21."
