A man is in hospital after being seriously assaulted outside a primary school in Hamilton.
Police and emergency services were called to Greenfield Road outside St Cuthbert's Primary School just before 11am this morning (Thursday, July 25).
A 38-year-old man was taken to Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride, with early reports suggesting that the man was stabbed in the disturbance.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to an incident on Greenfield Road at around 10.50am following reports of a 38-year-old man who was attacked and injured.
"The injured man was taken to Hairmyres Hospital and officers remain on the scene."
