Man in hospital after being found with stabs wounds near Loughborough McDonald's

A man with stab wounds was found lying in a street near McDonald's in Loughborough earlier today.

The man in his 30s was discovered in Warwick Way near McDonald's on the outskirts of the town.

An area of the road was taped off by police who have also said the man was injured in a house or flat nearby, LeicestershireLive reports.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: "Police were called this morning to a report of a man having been stabbed an an address in Loughborough.

"The call was received at 12.20am after the man, in his 30s, was assaulted at an address in Pevensey Road.

"After the assault, he left the address and was found in Warwick Way nearby.

"He is currently in hospital receiving treatment for injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the police."

Anyone with any information should contact Leicestershire Police on 101.
