A man in his late teens was injured in a suspected stabbing incident in Tralee, Co Kerry, today.
The incident took place at approximately 3.30pm this afternoon at Caheranne Close, on Strand Road.
The injured man was discovered with apparent stab wounds and was taken to University Hospital Kerry.
A man in his late teens has been arrested and is currently detained at Tralee Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí at Tralee are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with information to come forward as well as any road users travelling in the area who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to Gardaí."
