A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in Hunslet.
The news comes after police rushed to an address on Dewsbury Road at about 5.30pm on December 12, to reports that a man had been stabbed.
A picture from the scene showed a police cordon in place on a stretch of the busy road as vehicles queued along the carriageway.
After police attended the scene on Dewsbury Road the victim, who was in his 40s, was taken to hospital.
However, West Yorkshire Police have now confirmed that he has sadly died.
Police have have now launched a murder probe following the incident which closed the A563 while they investigated the scene.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1299 of today (December 12).
