A man in his 30s has died after a crash between a car and a van in Co Donegal.
The incident happened on the N15 road at Ballymagroarty, Ballintra at around 8am this morning.
The driver of the car was rushed from the scene to Sligo University Hospital with critical injuries, but gardai have confirmed that he has since passed away.
The road was shut earlier today but has since reopened after Garda forensic collision investigators completed their examination.
And officers are appealing for members of the public who were in the area at the time to come forward with any information.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Ballyshannon continue to appeal for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ballymagroarty, Ballintra on the N15, this morning 11th March, 2021 at approximately 8am.
"The male driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was removed to Sligo University Hospital with critical injuries and he has since passed away.
"Garda forensic collision investigators have conducted their examination of the scene and the road has now reopened.
"Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), who were travelling in the area between 7:30am - 8:30am to make this footage available to Gardaí.
