Man in his 20s rushed to hospital after e-scooter and bus crash

A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital following a crash between an e-scooter and a bus.

Emergency services were called to Great Homer Street, at its junction with Anderson Street, just after 10.55am today (Sunday, April 3). Police made their way to the scene following reports that the rider of the e-scooter had sustained a head injury.

The rider, a man in his 20s, was then taken to hospital for injuries. A section of the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the collision and the road remains shut while investigations continue.

Merseyside Police are now appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage of the incident. A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a report of a collision involving a bus and an e-scooter today (Sunday 3 April).

"Police were called just after 10.55am to Great Homer Street, at its junction with Anderson Street, where it was reported the e-scooter rider had sustained a head injury. The rider, a man in his 20s, has been taken to hospital for treatment.

"A section of Great Homer Street was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, and remains in place while investigations continue."
