A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital after being hit by a taxi.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Stanley Road and Gordon Street in Southport just before 10.45am yesterday (Sunday October 24) after reports of a collision between a bike and a taxi.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was rushed to hospital with a head injury.

The driver of the taxi, a Kia Ceed, stopped at the scene.
Enquiries into the collision are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO : "We were contacted at just before 10.45am yesterday (Sunday) to reports of a road traffic collision between a cyclist and a taxi at the junction of Stanley Street and Gordon Street in Southport.
"The male cyclist, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a head injury.
"The driver of the taxi, a Kia Ceed, stopped at the scene.
"Enquiries into the collision are ongoing."
