Two men have been arrested in relation to an early morning shooting in Tallaght on 24 July 2021.
The men, both in their 20s, were arrested today and brought to Tallaght Garda Station.
Gardai rushed to the area shortly after 2:30am and came across three men, one in possession of a handgun and one in possession of a baseball bat in the Rossfield Avenue area of Tallaght.
The man with the gun sprayed bullets at the patrol car with one of the shots hitting the vehicle.
All three men fled the scene and no gardai were injured.
The first man was arrested this morning and the second man was arrested this afternoon.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí have arrested a second man as part of the investigation into a shooting incident that occurred shortly after 2:30am on 24th July 2021 in the Rossfield Avenue area of Tallaght in Dublin."
