Man in his 20's arrested after two women threatened at knifepoint in Lurgan

A man in his 20's has been arrested after two women were threatened at knifepoint in Lurgan.

They were approached by a man in Monbrief Walk at about 5.30pm on Saturday, October 16.

He allegedly produced a knife and demanded the women hand over car keys.

One woman suffered minor injuries in the incident and the man remains in police custody at this time.

Inspector Kerr said: “Police responded after a report of two females had been approached by a man who is alleged to have produced a large knife and demanded their car keys.

“One of the women sustained minor injuries.

“We are appealing for information and witnesses which may assist the investigation to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1480 16/10/21.”
