Man in gimp suit 'terrorising town' is 'battered by MMA fan on way back from pub'

A drunk MMA enthusiast is claiming to have beaten up a gimp who has been terrorising a sleepy Somerset village.

Cameron Graham was heading home from a session at a pub in Claverham when he spotted a man lying on the floor of a car park.

When he realised the figure was sporting a rubber all-in-one, the boxing fan decided to get stuck in, The Daily Star reported.

He said: “I was just walking along and there was this bloke lying on the ground in a car park next to a field.

“He was wearing a full gimp suit - latex and everything.

“He tried to get up but I was having none of it.

“I kicked him in the face and then to the stomach and got off."

Despite his actions Cameron has not received the plaudits he perhaps deserves.

“I told everyone about it when I got home but no one believed me, not even my mum," he continued.

“In the end I stopped telling people about it."

Because he was drunk and had recently been through a difficult breakup, Cameron started to doubt whether he had actually battled the gimp.

That was until late last week when Abi Conroy was approached by a masked man a stone's throw from where Cameron had his encounter.

“Now it turns out it’s true," he continued.

“The bloke I kicked looks like that bloke in the photo. They’re both tubby.

“People think it’s funny but it’s not.

“It’s making people scared to let their kids play which isn’t good.”

Abi, 23, said the man was wearing a "full black rubbery" outfit and "grunting and breathing heavily" before charging at her.

Passers-by came to her aid and she was able to chase him off and snap a photo of the man in his full-body outfit - with stitching around the mouth and red eyes - before he vanished through a hedge.

Two suspects have been arrested over a string of similar incidents, with police saying they have had 14 reports in the local area since November, including alleged indecent acts.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: “Both of the men arrested in connection with the series of incidents in the Claverham/ Yatton area of Somerset have been released on police bail.

"They remain very much part of the investigation.”
