Man in early 20s stabbed multiple times in London shopping centre

A man in his early 20s has been stabbed multiple times at a shopping centre in London.

The incident, which happened during the evening of Saturday, October 12, took place at Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics, according to the Mirror , before being taken to a hospital in west London.

A spokeman for the Met Police said: "We await an assessment of his condition".

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm after being alerted to the knife attack.

A crime scene is still in place and "enquiries into the circumstances continue."

The Met Police spokesman added: "This incident is not being treated as terror-related.

"Anyone who has information that could assist police is asked to call 101 ref CAD 6386/12 Oct.

"A Section 60 Order has been authorised for the entirety of the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea from 19:00hrs until 07:00hrs on Sunday, 13 October."
