Dublin gardai catch man driving in car with flashing blue lights and unofficial garda items

Gardai apprehended a man who was driving around Dublin in a car with flashing blue lights on Thursday.

The driver was stopped in the Baldoyle area at around 3pm.

It is understood the man was pretending to be a member of the force.

When officers searched his car, they found a number of unofficial An Garda Siochana and Dublin Fire Brigade items.

A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live that no arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.
