CCTV has been released of two men police want to speak to after a female officer was attacked in Trafford .
Police believe the men, one wearing a Del Boy t-shirt, and the other with a moustache, could have information to help with their investigation.
Just after 10am on Sunday, two officers responded to a fight between two men near the One Stop store on Stretford Road, Urmston .
The officers tried to calm the men down, but one of the offenders resisted and attacked a female officer.
The pair then ran away from the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital after suffering a broken finger, police said.
She had to take time off from frontline duties to recover from the injury.
Officers are asking anyone who recognises the men pictured to get in touch.
Sgt Nick Bamber of GMP’s Trafford District said: “No-one, let alone a police officer, should be faced with violence when simply trying to do their job.
“Our officers were attempting to calm the situation down when this assault occurred.
“We will not tolerate violence against our officers and we would ask anyone who recognises the individuals pictured, or has any information, to contact police immediately.”
