Man fights for life after 'nasty fight' near Yacht Club

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted at Liverpool Marina on Friday.

Emergency services attended the scene, near the Yacht Club, after reports of an attack just before 8pm, on October 15.

A man in his 70s was rushed to hospital where he is described as being in a 'critical but stable' condition.

Mum ask people not to 'hate her' over Halloween opinion

A woman who "doesn't like Halloween" has written a message to other mums as October 31st approaches.

The woman, who lives in Southport, asked others not to "hate her".

Posting in a local Facebook group, she wrote: "Unpopular opinion but I don't like Halloween and I don't want my daughter to celebrate it either."

Police at the scene of church fire in Kirkby

A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a former church.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze at around 5.25pm on Sunday, October 17, at St Mark’s Church on Brook Hey Drive, Kirkby.

Police were also on the scene and cordoned off a section of Brook Hey Drive while firefighters worked.
