Man in critical condition following Co Armagh collision

A man is in critical condition in hospital following a single vehicle collision in Co Armagh in the early hours of this morning.

The emergency services were called to the collision on Moy Road, Armagh, between the junctions of Lisbofin Road and the Moore Island Road at around 2.25am this morning which involved a white Seat Ibiza.

Police attended the scene along with the ambulance and fire service.

Two men were injured in the collision and taken to hospital with one of them being in a critical condition.

The road was closed following the incident but has since reopened.

Sergeant McGuigan said: “The collision, involving a white coloured Seat Ibiza, occurred between the junctions with the Lisbofin Road and the Moore Island Road, and was reported to police at around 2.25am.


“Officers attended the incident together with colleagues from NIAS and NIFRS.

“Two males who were travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment for injuries. One of the men is described as being in a critical condition.

“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage or any information which could assist with our enquiries, to contact 101 and quote reference number 178 of 09/01/22.”
