Man in critical condition after two men stabbed in Nottingham city centre

A 24-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed numerous times in Nottingham city centre.

Another man, who is also 24, was stabbed once during the incident which happened in Lower Parliament Street at around 3.55am on Sunday, April 28.

Cordons were in place for a number of hours outside Poundland and Boots, and the two men have been taken to Queen's Medical Centre for treatment for their injuries.

The cordons have now been removed and the road has reopened following its closure while officers investigated the scene.

No arrests have been made.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or was driving past the area at the time and has dash-cam footage, to get in touch on 101, quoting incident number 144 of 28 April 2019. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
