A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a serious assault three days ago.
Gardai are probing the attack, which happened on Phibsborough Road in Dublin shortly after 7pm on Monday, October 7.
The man, in his 40s, received serious head injuries and was taken to the nearby Mater Hospital.
He has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he is now in a critical condition.
Gardai in Mountjoy are investigating and are appealing for anyone who was in the Phibsborough Road area between 6pm and 7pm on the day and who may have witnessed the assault, or any motorists who may have passed through Phibsborough Road around these times and have dashcam footage to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
A Garda statement added: "No arrests have been made in relation to this serious assault and investigations are ongoing."
