A man is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the head in south Manchester.
Police and air ambulance were scrambled to Yew Tree Road in Moss Side at around 10.15am today (24 May).
A man, believed to be in his 20s, was found with a stab wound to the head.
He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
No arrests have been made, but a major police investigation is underway.

There is a large cordon currently in place on Yew Tree Road, with a number of police vehicles guarding the area.
Forensic teams can be seen taking photographs, and laying out ground markers on the street.
What appears to be a large amount of blood can be seen on the pavement nearby.
A blue forensic tent has been erected inside the cordon as detectives carry out their investigations.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called by colleagues at NWAS around 10.15am today (Monday 24 May) to a report of an injured male on Yew Tree Road, Manchester.
"Officers attended and enquiries established a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the head.
"He has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
