Man in critical condition after being electrocuted on roof of Glasgow M&S store

A man was rushed to hospital after suffering an electric shock while working at an M&S store.

The man in his 30s, who is understood to be a contractor, was injured while working on the roof of the shop in Glasgow’s Argyle Street.

A source said: “The man was up on the roof cleaning the gutters. He must have touched something live because he suffered a serious electric shock.

“He was quite badly injured.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed they responded to the incident on Sunday, July 21. The man’s condition at the time was described as “critical”.

M&S said yesterday: “We’re investigating what happened at the store as a priority.”
