Man in crash has phone stolen after he pulls over

A man had his phone stolen from the top of his boot after he was involved in a car crash.

The incident happened on Friday, July 16, at around 7pm when a man was involved in a damage only crash near to Haydock Island on the East Lancashire Road.

Afterwards, Merseyside Police said the victim then had his phone stolen from the top of his boot close to the Shell Garage.

The force now want to speak to the man pictured who they believe may have information to assist with enquiries following the incident in St Helens.

Constable Alexa Collins also urged people to get in touch to help find the person responsible and "bring them to justice."

In a statement today, Merseyside Police said: "We’re issuing the image of a man who may have information following an road traffic collision and theft in Haydock on Friday 16 July.

"At around 7pm, a man was involved in a damage only collision near to Haydock Island on the East Lancashire Road. Following the collision, the victim had his phone stolen from the top of his boot close to the Shell Garage."
