A man accused of firing a gun on Valentines Day during an alleged brawl has been granted bail.
Kurt Cunningham faced Belmont Local Court on Wednesday charged with one count each of firing a firearm in or near a public place and firing a firearm in a manner likely to injure persons or property.
The 37-year-old was arrested in Newcastle Street, Cardiff, on March 16 following the incident, which took place a little more than a month earlier.
Police were called to Newcastle Street late on Valentines Day night following reports of an alleged brawl between a group of men.
Investigators were told that a gun was allegedly discharged twice during the affray. Police allege it was Mr Cunningham who fired the shots.
A 21-year-old man has also been charged over the alleged brawl and he remains before the courts.
Mr Cunningham was granted police bail when he was arrested last month and was granted bail by Magistrate Sharon Crews in court on Wednesday. He will face Belmont Local Court again on May 14.
