A man has appeared in court charged with murdering an 80-year-old man in regional Victoria.
Glen Stratton, 53, is accused of murder at Castlemaine on Monday.
The dead man's name was blacked out on charge sheets released by the court.
Stratton appeared in Bendigo Magistrates Court on Tuesday via video link and wrapped in a white blanket.
Family members were in court to support him, his lawyer said.
She also said Stratton was coeliac, had a blood disorder and took medication.
He was remanded to reappear for a committal mention on October 13.
