A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was declared dead at a Renfrewshire flat.
39-year-old Craig Walker has appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday accused of murder after Lauren Wilson, 34, was pronounced dead at a property on Cardon Square, Renfrew on Wednesday.
Police had been called to the property about 11.45pm.
Craig Walker also stands accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody pending a further court date.
W told how heartbroken friends have paid tribute to Lauren following the tragic news of her death.
One said: "Rest easy Lauren Wilson.
"My thoughts are with and your family. Such sad sad news."
Another said: "Such a lovely girl so sad."
