Man in campervan says Cornwall is ‘rubbish’ and not worth visiting in epic rant

A man who reviews staycation spots has said that Cornwall is 'rubbish' and not worth visiting in an epic video rant.

YouTuber Liam regularly travels around the UK in his campervan and reviews the places he stays so that his 15,000 followers can know where to go, and where to avoid.

And according to him, Cornwall is one place that is definitely worth skipping - as it is, in his opinion, too busy, too expensive, and too difficult to get around, as Cornwall Live reports.

He goes on to conclude that "you should definitely never, ever, ever go to Cornwall", adding that it has no phone signal so that people can't share "how sh*t Cornwall is”.

What do you think about Liam's opinion of Cornwall? Let us know in the comments

He said the main issue with Cornwall was the size of the roads, saying people who live here “must have some sort of special micro-cars” because he doesn’t “understand how they physically fit on the roads.”

“You know when you see something in the distance that looks smaller or a road that looks narrower,” he said. “Well that’s not the case. It literally does get narrower.

“The further you go it just gets narrower and narrower and then a car comes the other way and you have to reverse all the way back for 17 miles to find a little pull-in.”

At one point he criticised the way local people drive, saying someone “scraped the side of his van,” because “that’s just how people drive” here.

Among his other motoring observations were the comments, “they don’t have white lines down there” and “all the road signs are in a foreign language”.

“For some reason, the roads are this wide but the hedges are f***ing 20 foot tall so you can’t see if anything is coming when you’re going around the corner.

“You just have to hope for the best and hope your insurance is going to cover yourself”.

He also called a Cornish pasty ”the driest thing on earth,” saying the main ingredient was pepper and that there was no meat to be seen.

Among a host of other complaints, he says Penzance is the only place worth visiting, because the road signs to the town are apparently everywhere.

“Every single road sign in Cornwall says Penzance in it. No matter where you are in Cornwall, whichever direction you’re going, you are near Penzance. That is just the way it is. So you’ll never not find Penzance.”

Liam also visited St Ives, and compared it to the 1986 hit movie Labyrinth, featuring David Bowie, saying it was 'impossible' to navigate.

He continued: "It is such a pretty place but you just can’t stop there. Just drive past it as quick as you can and then go to Penzance because that’s the only place that’s got a road sign that actually takes you to that place."

Having spent six days driving among tractors, he said it took “four years” to make it just two miles, so it “was not worth going” to Cornwall in the first place.
