A man has died after a horror crash in Manchester.

Emergency services scrambled to the scene and the bike rider, a man in his 20s, was found to have suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital fighting for his life.

But in a heartbreaking update today, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed he has died, saying his family are "understandably devastated".

The driver of the Seat helped police with the investigation and no arrests have been made.

Police Sergeant Neil Pennington, from GMPs Serious Collision Investigation Unit, urged any witnesses with dash-cam or CCTV footage to get in touch.

He said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family who are understandably distressed and devastated.

"An investigation into this collision is on-going and anyone who may have seen anything, has any information or has dash cam or CCTV footage is asked to contact us.

"Information can be submitted online at www.gmp.police.uk or by calling 0161 856 4741 quoting log 2074 of 12/08/2021."

Alternatively, if you can't report online, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
