Man in 20s dies after falling out of second-floor pub window in town centre

A man in his 20s has died after falling out of a second-floor pub window in a busy town centre.

An air ambulance attended but the man, who was aged in his 20s, was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later at the scene.

Police confirmed they were called out to the Golden Lion in Newmarket, Suffolk at approximately 12.55am today, Sunday 13 June, following reports that a man had been injured in the High Street.

Upon arrival, it was established that the man had fallen from a second-floor window of the pub.

A cordon remains in place while an investigation into the circumstances continues.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but is not believed to be suspicious.

Next of kin have been informed.
