Man hurt in drive-by while walking with relative in South Shore

A man was shot in a drive-by Wednesday in South Shore on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was walking with a relative at 8:49 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Phillips Avenue when someone shot at him from the back seat of a four-door Toyota, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in the wrist and taken to South Shore Hospital, where he was stabilized, police said. The relative was not injured.

Area South detectives are investigating.
