Man hospitalised with stab wounds after brawl on Canberra's Kingston Foreshore

Police searched the Kingston Foreshore on Sunday morning searching for evidence related to the stabbing.  (ABC News: Peter Lusted)

A man is in hospital after being stabbed several times during a brawl on the Kingston Foreshore in Canberra's inner-south on Saturday night.

Several men were involved in the argument which started outside The Dock and continued on to Eastlake Parade about 5:45pm.

Witnesses say a group of about 20 to 30 people came off a party boat moments before the fight.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to hospital. His condition is unknown.

Police were seen searching drains and garden beds along the foreshore this morning.

They have urged any witnesses to the incident to come forward, particularly those with mobile phone, dash-cam or CCTV footage of the brawl.

ACT police are yet to reveal if they have found the weapon used to stab the man.  (ABC News: Peter Lusted)
