Man hospitalised with serious facial injuries after attack on Panmure Street

A man has been hospitalised with serious facial injuries after being attacked in the north of Glasgow.

Police were called to the scene on Panmure Street on Sunday evening.

The 33-year-old was assaulted by another man, described by police as a white male, early 30s, of slim build with dark scruffy hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey/black jumper and dark jeans at the time.

The victim remains in Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is described as being in a stable condition.

Police have now lauched an investigation into the incident as they appeal for information.

A Police Scotland statement released today confirmed: "Police in Glasgow are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Panmure Street area.

"The incident happened around 6.15pm on Sunday, 11 October, 2020, when a 33-year-old man was assaulted by a male on Panmure Street.

"The man sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he remains in a stable condition.

"The suspect is described as a white male, early 30s, of slim build with dark scruffy hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey/black jumper and dark jeans."

Detective Constable Paul Corr, of Maryhill CID, commented: “We are now appealing for witnesses to assist with our investigation.

“Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who may have dash-cam footage, should contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 2832 of 11 October.”
