A man was left with fractured bones after being attacked by a group of men on Boxing Day.
Between 10pm and 10.30pm on the 26th, a man was approached on Albion Terrace in Lynemouth by a number of males who then assaulted him.
The 40-year-old victim was taken to hospital and had suffered serious injuries including a fractured knee, fractured ribs and facial injuries.
An investigation has been launched into the incident , and as part of their enquiries, officers have now appealed for witnesses to come forward.
