Man hospitalised as gardai called to Irish leisure centre after row breaks out

A man was hospitalised after a row broke out at a leisure centre in Limerick last weekend.

Gardai were called to the swimming pool in Limerick city shortly after 2pm on Saturday where the altercation happened.

One man in his 30s had to be brought to hospital for non-serious injuries.

No arrests were made at the scene but investigations are continuing.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí were called to the scene of a public order incident involving two males that occurred at a leisure centre in Limerick city at approximately 2:20pm on Saturday 6 th August 2022.

"Following the incident, one of the males, 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-serious injuries.

"There have been no arrests made at this time. Investigations are ongoing."
