A police probe has been launched after a man was hospitalised in a serious assault in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Leith Street in the city this morning at 10.45am.
A man was rushed to hospital for treatment an investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently conducting enquiries into a reported serious assault which happened in the Leith Street area of Edinburgh at around 10:45am on Wednesday, 23 June.
“A man has been taken to hospital and enquiries remain ongoing.”
