Man hospitalised after horror Fife crash with van in snowy conditions

A man was rushed to hospital after a horror crash with a van in Fife amid difficult driving conditions.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the two vehicles collided on a snowy Lundin Road in Dunfermline at around 3.05pm on Tuesday February 9.

The driver of the 4x4 was taken to hospital for treatment.

It is believed the man is in a stable condition and police enquires into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

It comes as Storm Darcy continues to wreak havoc across the country after further snowfall throughout the night.

A yellow weather warning remains in place for snow until 23.59pm tonight and cops are urging Scots to make essential journeys only.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3:05pm, police received a report of a road crash involving two cars on Lundin Road, Dunfermline.

"Emergency services attended and one man was treated at the scene. One man was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing."
