Man hospitalised after brutal late-night stabbing in East Wall, Dublin

A man is currently in hospital after being brutally assaulted and stabbed at a house in Dublin late on Wednesday night.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was attacked by another man in his 50s at around 10.45pm in the Church Road area of East Wall.

The alarm was raised and the injured person was taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are understood to be non-life threatening, Dublin Live reports.

The other man was arrested at the scene and taken to Store Street Garda Station where he remains detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A garda spokesman said investigations are ongoing and are appealing to the public for further information.
