Police remain at the scene of a broad daylight assault in Glasgow that left one man hospitalised.
Emergency crews rushed to Saracen Street in the Possilpark area of the city on Friday.
The alarm was raised at 2.45pm.
Officers confirmed that one man had been assaulted at the scene.
He was taken to hospital.
The nature of his injuries and current medical condition are not known at this time.
Police were unable to disclose the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Officers sealed off part of the road soon after and launched an investigation.
As of 9.40pm cops were still in the area that remained cordoned off to members of the public.
No further details are available at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: "We were called to Saracen Street in Possilpark at 2.45pm.
"A man had been assaulted.
"He was taken to hospital.
"We have no detail at this stage on the nature of his injuries or his current medical condition.
"Police are still on the scene and a cordon remains in place.
"There are no further details at this time."
