We told how cops raced to Maxwell Road in the city's Pollokshields area at around 5.40pm amid reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

Officers taped off the entrance to a block of flats as police stood guard outside.

It has now emerged a 28-year-old was 'knifed' and taken to hospital for his injuries.

They are described as 'non-life threatening'.

Police say enquiries are ongoing and have appealed for witnesses.
