Man hospitalised after being hit by car in Lyneham

A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Canberra's north overnight.

The pedestrian and the car collided in Lyneham about 2.25am on Northbourne Avenue at the intersection of Morphett Street and Murdoch Street.

Paramedics were called to the collision site and treated the man at the scene, before he was taken to hospital.

ACT police said they were urging witnesses or those with dash-cam footage of the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.

The collision happened before 2.30am on Monday in Lyneham.
