A man was rushed to hospital after police officers found him injured on a Cambuslang street.
The incident took place on Western Road at around 9pm on Friday night.
The alarm was raised after the man was discovered on the road and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
An eyewitness said three police cars and an ambulance attended the incident.
The extent of the man's injuries are not known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man found injured on Western Road in Cambuslang around 9.15pm on Friday, 3 September.
“The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
