Man hospitalised after a 'disturbance' at a block of flats in Salford

A man has been taken to hospital following a “disturbance” at a block of flats in Salford.

Police were called to Ellesmere Street, in Eccles, at around 7.45pm this evening (September 23) following reports of a disturbance.

When officers arrived they discovered that a 25-year-old man had been injured.

He was taken to hospital.

Greater Manchester Police said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A police cordon is currently in place around the entrance to the flats and several police vehicles are at the scene.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At 7.45pm on Wednesday 23 September 2020, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Ellesmere Street, Eccles.

“Officers attended. A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“Anyone with information should contact police quoting 2564 on 23/09/20 or the independent charity - Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
