Man hoisted onto bonnet as car mounts footpath outside Dublin school

Disturbing footage shows a man being dragged by a car outside a Dublin school on Monday morning.

Gardai are investigating after a car was driven into a group of Indian people outside on School Road in Finglas at around 9.40am on Monday.

The incident happened outside Mother of Divine Grace and it's alleged that racial abuse was shouted at the group before the attack.

One man was hospitalised with minor injuries.

The footage shows a silver car drive past the group before promptly reversing back up the road.

The car then turns towards the group and a man finds himself on the bonnet.

According to RTE, the car has since been seized for examination.

One person who was there claimed an occupant in the vehicle shouted racist abuse.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault at School Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, on 18th November 2019 at approximately 9.40am.
