A victim suffered cuts to his head and bruises to his chest after he was hit over head with a baseball bat during a robbery.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to a report the victim was robbed of his mobile phone, car keys and some groceries during the incident which happened in Galway Road, Arnold, shortly before 8.15pm on Monday, December 21.
The victim, aged in his 30s, suffered a cut to his head and bruising to his chest but did not require hospital treatment, police confirmed.
The force has since launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses and information.
No arrests have been made in connection at this stage.
Detective Sergeant Mark Shaw, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we're working hard to identify and trace the suspects responsible for this nasty attack.
"I would like to hear from anyone locally who may have either seen this incident, anyone who may have CCTV footage which could help the investigation or any drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incident.
