A man was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday on Lake Shore Drive in Uptown on the North Side, according to police.
The 26-year-old was struck about 8:50 p.m. in the 4600 block of North Lake Shore Drive while crossing the southbound lanes near Wilson Avenue, according to Chicago police and fire officials.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the death.
The driver of the vehicle that hit him refused medical attention, officials said.
No citations have been issued, police said.
CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
